The Department of Management at the Institute of Technology and Science (I.T.S),Ghaziabad, organized an industry visit to Mother Dairy, Patparganj, New Delhi, on 16th and 17th September 2026 for MBA-I Semester students (2026–28 batch). A total of 91 students(46 + 45) participated in the visit. The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical exposure to industrial operations and enhance their understanding of the dairy and FMCG sector. During
the visit, students gained insights into the complete production cycle of dairy products, starting from procurement of raw milk to its processing, packaging, and distribution. The officials at Mother Dairy explained various stages of milk processing, including pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging, along with the role of advanced machinery and automation in maintaining efficiency and quality. Students also learned about quality assurance practices, safety standards, and hygiene protocols followed at the plant.

The visit also provided an understanding of supply chain management and cold chain logistics, which are critical for maintaining product freshness and timely delivery. The role of technology in inventory management and distribution was also discussed. Students found the visit highly enriching as it connected classroom concepts with real-world applications. The interaction with industry professionals helped them gain practical insights into operational challenges and best practices in the dairy industry. Overall, the industry visit was a valuable learning experience that enhanced students’ knowledge of production, operations, and supply chain management in the FMCG sector.
